Our StoryThere are a variety of nonprofit organizations that intend to further the development of young children in rural areas through the use of a sport. However, Crossover for Change is unique for many reasons. First of all, this nonprofit has female student-athletes at the forefront of the establishment as they work side-by-side with a few adults aiming to create a means for girls to come together, feel empowered, gain confidence, and possess a sense of belonging. These females are also incorporated as mentors to the young women in Western Uganda in order to foster an everlasting relationship. Basketball is the chosen sport of this organization since it will be utilized to promote character both on and off the court.
